How Satan Holds the Church Spellbound

The lie that is more dangerous than evolution and the Da Vinci Code is the spell of the tithe. Why is it more dangerous than evolution and the Da Vinci Code? Because it has deep roots in the Christian faith and even to this day the doctrine of the tithe holds the church spell bound. The lie of the tithe was widely accepted before the Lord restored Apostolic Governance to the church and it remains a stronghold of Satan in many churches today. Maybe you know someone who is still caught in that pernicious fallacy and needs help.

The lie of the tithe is pernicious because it ruins the faith of many and is the sounding board for the greedy. Every week a parade of ministers take the role of the seductress, offering the same unfulfilled promises they made a year ago, hoping that human suffering will give them the framework upon which to build a new platform of promises.

The seduction is in the promise: “God wants you to have the best things in life” (as Satan said to Adam in the garden). And so we hear, “Unless you give me your money, God will not hear your prayers,” or “God will not get involved with your life unless you tithe.”

Keep in mind that God is not against pleasure, but it is how it is directed for faith. Satan wants you to use the knowledge of God for your pleasure rather than the covenant of Christ. Satan built a whole philosophy around tithing and it became a stronghold. If you tithe, Satan has a vice-like grip on your faith to keep it yoked to carnal things and has no intention of letting you go.
The commandments of men lie to the conscience. The VOICE of this inclination is the IDOL: The false Jesus. With fair words they cloak themselves with empty piety. But once God removes the mask, Satan has nothing to hide behind any longer.

Those who tithe are engaging with carnal things to claim God's involvement. This is what people have done with idols for thousands of years. Some say, "I tithed and then I got money." That's a philosophy. Satan built a philosophy out of your pleasure. A doctrine is created from this experience.

Satan hypnotized with the philosophy of tithing: "If you do this then God will to that." The philosophy is in the promise. That’s where the hook is –the hook is in Satan’s promise and then the promise is played out with the imagination. And everyone contributed their testimony to this idol.

But the idol works covetousness in the heart. Covetousness is what they are working with, which is the spirit of this world. Now your faith is ruined! Satan rules over you through that passion and your discernment is in Satan's perspective instead of the mind of Christ. The romance of the church is with Satan, the mother of harlots, who is his wife. Now we can understand why God uses the words "fornication" and "adultery" in regard to idolatry.
