Sweet as Honey

Come into Covenant with God

Sweet as Honey

January 4,2009

Dream:

I would like to share a dream that I had recently. In the dream I put honey and butter on some bread and gave it to a baby. The baby quickly ate it by dipping his tongue deep into the honey.

Interpretation: The Lord is feeding the church honey and butter through the true stewardship of His called apostles.

Isaiah 7:15 “Butter and honey shall he eat, that he may know to refuse the evil, and choose the good”.

As honey is sweet to the taste and gives energy to the body; so also is the doctrine of Jesus Christ sweet to the hears which brings liberty to the soul.

True discernment gives us the ability to discern that which is of God and that which is not of God. We are able to refuse the evil and choose the good because we are able to identify it through the doctrine of Christ.

Also the baby ate of it by dipping his tongue deep into the honey. We also want to do the same by yielding our hearts to the grace and truth of God. When we are yielding our hearts we are not acting as robots and just doing what we are told. But we are acting with humbleness and sincerity with a heart of faith wanting to know and please God. When we engage God with faith in the covenant then God breathes life into it making faith living which is sweet to the taste, sweet to the ears and sweet to the soul.

When we eat of Christ we are eating the tree of life rather of the tree of good and evil.

“The holy knowledge of the truth is sweet as honey which came from the Lion, which was of the tribe of Judah, which was the Son of God, which we now do hear”
