Why the Church Needs Living Apostles Today
Apostles today! An explosive topic in today’s Christian world. In the past we have seen weak and half measures to fix what is broken in the church. God is addressing and solving the issues of faith failure and going to the underlining reasons Christians lose hope in God.
Living apostles work with apostolic authority (just as we would expect of the apostles of Jesus Christ) to bring believers back into the fold of God’s grace.
Apostolic ministry begins with God’s call. This 4 part series answers the question “Why do we need apostles today,” talks about apostolic grace and authority, and helps believers gain a much needed understanding of what an apostle is and does.
Part 2 of 4 part series. Learn about the Second 8th Week and God's end time plan, where the church is at in God's timeline, and where you fit in.
Apostles Today
But you can never grow beyond the measure of grace given to the one who is instructing you. This is why the "herd" continues to wander. Once the pastor land has been grazed, and there is nothing left to eat, Christians move on to "greener pastors".This is why believers wander from church to church, from teacher to teacher, from one tape ministry to another, from one author to the next, they are in search of the correct example of faith, they want to know how to function as a Christian.
They are looking for instruction so that they may know how to grow and mature in Christ; how to overcome themselves, the world, and the devil. They are looking for spiritual government to guide them into understanding what their place is in the Body of Christ, and how to identify false doctrine; how we give back to God, how to love their neighbor as themselves, where accountability lies, and which baptism is the one which cleanses them and seals their faith.
Many people falsely believe that they don't need apostles, that they can learn truth from the Holy Spirit. This confusion gained a strong foothold in the church in the absence of Apostolic Governance, not in the presence of it.
Now we know why we need LIVING apostles. They instruct the Church and teach believers how to function with God and as a Body. Believers in the early Church benefited from LIVING apostles, they were able to conform to ONE standard for the expression of their faith and function as a unified Body.
